18 April 2023 Proverbs 30:28 (NIV)
a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings' palaces.
These few day, I kept seeing lizards. I saw a small lizard at my kitchen tap flexible hose. It climbed up the flexible hose tap and looked at me. It stared at me for quite a few minutes. Only after I left the kitchen, then the lizard went away. I saw big monitor lizards in the park too and last Saturday, I saw a chameleon during my walk. I wonder why did I keep seeing all these lizards. Today, I remember today’s verse about lizard in kings’ palaces found in Proverbs 30:28.
Lizards though it is unclean according to the Bible in Leviticus 11:29-30 yet it is mentioned in Proverbs 30:28 that they appear in kings palaces. I believe there are 2 lessons about this verse in Proverbs 30:28. Lizard though is unclean, yet it has perseverance and still appear before the king. The 1st Lesson is about perseverance. We need to persevere despite hardship, difficulties, difficult situations. We need to trust God. Have hope. Perseverance no matter how challenging the situations. The second is unclean people still can appear before the King Jesus in heaven His palaces. He allows that for those who know him and accept him. He accepts sinners, purify them to be acceptable in heaven appearing before him.

Dearest Heavenly Father,
Thank you for showing me that despite me being unclean. You are willing to accept me in your kingdom. Thank you for letting me know your son Jesus Christ, his death at the cross has atone for my sins. Cleansing me from my sins to be clean acceptable to you. You know I have doubts that I need to wait for so long. You know my thoughts. You showed me the lizards to remind me to persevere no matter my troubles, hardship. You showed me 2 big monitor lizards fighting with each other. You know about my problems with a friend. Disagreement. 2 of us unclean sinful people fighting with each other. Forgive me and my friend. Cleanse both of us. Restore our friendship. You told me to persevere. Don’t give up. Please Lord, replace our hatred with love. Cleanse our heart. Replace it with love in our heart. Don’t let us hold bitterness in our heart. Take out every wrong in our heart. Replace it with love in our heart.
In your son name Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
